Interesting start of a magazine's front page! But you seem to have gone about describing things instead of fully ‘analysing’.
'Why' and ‘what’ effects things like the colour scheme, layout, fonts have on the audience. Why has the magazine chosen complementary colours, what effect does it have on the targeted audience. Why is the picture faded into the background? Why are the pictures in silhouette or rather what you stated as being ‘outline in black and white’? ‘What’ subject is being represented, ‘why’ and how is this achieved?
Remember you are looking at front pages of magazines so as to learn how to analyse them in preparation for you main task.
Please pick a couple of other magazines including a student/college one and analyse the use of fonts, the colour scheme, the general layout, the picture, coverlines, the use of a variety of fonts, mention what fonts think they might have used etc, etc.
What information is the ‘logo’ giving and why?
How and why do the colours on the masthead make it clear it is the masthead? What about the placement of the masthead, why has this been done this way?
What about layout/colour scheme? Is this sticking to convention, or breaking it? Why and how do you think it is doing this? What effect and meaning is it creating for the targeted audience?
